Ingredients
Pumpkin cream cold brew: Pumpkin purée and pumpkin pie spice are whisked into the sweet cream. It is the autumn coffee-shop favorite, made without the sugary syrup.
- Whisk the pumpkin, spice and extra sweetener into the sweet cream until smooth, then froth it until thick enough to sit on top of the coffee. Dust with a pinch of spice.
Chocolate cream cold brew: Cocoa whisked into the sweet cream makes a chocolate foam that slowly marbles into the coffee, like an iced mocha.
- Whisk the cocoa and extra sweetener into a tablespoon of the cream to make a paste, then whisk in the rest of the sweet-cream ingredients and froth.
Dairy-free (coconut cream): Coconut cream whipped with almond milk, vanilla and allulose makes a dairy-free sweet cream that froths up just as thick.
- Use a handheld frother or shake the sweet cream hard in a jar. If the coconut cream is solid, warm it briefly and stir smooth first.

Instructions
-
Make the sweet cream: whisk or shake the cream, almond milk, sweetener and vanilla in a jar until the sweetener dissolves.
-
Just before serving, froth the sweet cream with a handheld frother for 10–15 seconds, until slightly thickened but still pourable.
-
Fill four tall glasses with ice and pour 1 cup of cold brew into each.
-
Slowly pour about 3 tablespoons of sweet cream over each glass and let it cascade through the coffee. Stir before sipping.
Tips for success
-
To make cold brew at home, stir 1 cup (85 g) coarsely ground coffee into 4½ cups (1.1 L) cold water, cover and steep in the fridge 12–18 hours, then strain through a paper filter. It makes about 4 cups.
-
Using a store-bought concentrate? Dilute it 1:1 with water before measuring.
-
The sweet cream doubles as a creamer for hot coffee. For a frothy, unsweetened hot mug, try butter coffee.
Nice to have, not needed
- A handheld frother thickens the sweet cream so it floats — shaking it hard in a jar works too.
Storage & meal prepMeal-prep friendly
- Keeps 5 days in the fridge
- Doesn’t freeze well
Reheat: Serve cold over ice; shake the sweet cream before using.
Prep tip: Keep a jar of cold brew and a jar of sweet cream in the fridge and a glass takes 30 seconds.
Refrigerate cold brew up to 1 week and the sweet cream up to 5 days, both in sealed jars. Shake the cream before using.
